Going Cloud Native involves tech. But it also hinges on strategy and people—without these components, it’s just a bunch of fancy tools that won’t be utilised at their full potential. People empower greatness in tech more than tech empowers greatness in people.
It’s this thought that saw Jamie Dobson and Pini Reznik start a company that helps organisations move to the cloud and adopt the strategy and cultural changes they would need to make the latest technology deliver on its promise. Together with engineers at Container Solutions, they’ve learned what works and what really doesn’t work for these transformations. As an antidote to keyword-stuffed blogs, they’ve distilled their lessons in their book, Cloud Native Transformation: Practical Patterns for Innovation.
Mark Coleman, of Equinix Metal, is hosting this fireside chat with Jamie and Pini as they share the book’s key lessons about how to embark on a Cloud Native transformation (and how not to). They will also answer your questions about moving to the cloud and about overhauling the way an organisation works to take full advantage of Cloud Native technology.
If you’ve read the book, great! Come with questions, arguments, and whatever else you’d like!
If you haven’t read it, come on over and see this as the best TL;DR of your life.
