WTF is IDP? And do you need it?
We (the collective ‘we’ across the Cloud Native space) tend to over-engineer approaches and recomplicate structures as development moves forward. While the DevOps paradigm is meant to relieve and distribute pressure evenly, poor Ops teams end up drawing the short straw—again.
Elite teams at companies such as GitHub, Airbnb, and Spotify realized that even just rolling out a DevOps approach keeps Devs too busy, distracted, and it massively slows down momentum.
Cue, Internal Developer Platform.
IDP is about making shit happen for Devs and Ops teams. It means increased productivity, ownership, and makes it easier not only to give a damn—but to have the autonomy to do so.
So cancel your plans and watch this bad boy if:

Meet the speakers
Chris Stephenson is CTO at Humanitec. Chris is inspired to tackle the toughest WTF’s across Cloud Native development. He headed the high-performance computing group at Lloyd’s of London, played several integral roles in building a number of tech-setups, at startups and acted as a product manager at Google–working on an IDP used across the company. He holds a degree in information and computer engineering from the University of Cambridge and also studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Ádám Sándor is a sales engineer and Cloud Native architect at Container Solutions. After long years of building software and throwing it over the wall, Ádám happily dove into Cloud Native to break that wall down for good. Now he's spreading the word about Kubernetes, Continuous Delivery, and Docker to all who are willing to listen.
